Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel. 2. The present petition has been filed with the following relief: "(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus thereby commanding the opp. parties specially the opp. parties No.4 to 6 to appoint the fair price shop holder of Village Panchayat Persehara Kaimehara, Block and Tehsil- Mitauli, District Kheri, by convening the open meeting and by adopting the due process of law so that the difficulties of the card holders could be remove. 3. The present petition is disposed of with direction to the authorities concerned to take steps for appointment of a fair price shop dealer, in case the shop in question is still vacant, in accordance law. In case, such an exercise is undertaken, the petitioner would also be eligible to apply for appointment, in accordance with law.
