Mr. Rajveer Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner. 2. Mr. Dharmendra Barthwal, learned counsel for the respondent-UPCL. 3. According to petitioner, she applied for electricity connection, however, her request is not being processed by Uttarakhand Power Corporation Ltd. (UPCL). 4. Mr. Dharmendra Barthwal, learned counsel appearing for UPCL submits that there is a dispute between petitioner and her sister (respondent no. 4), regarding the house in question, as respondent no. 4 claims that said house was bequeathed by her mother by a Will dated 30.03.2021. He further submits that respondent no. 4 has filed a suit for mandatory injunction against the petitioner, which is pending before Civil Judge (S.D.), Roorkee, District Haridwar and is numbered as Original Suit No. 01 of 2025. 5. Since life without electricity cannot be conceived in modern time, therefore, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to Executive Engineer, Electricity Distribution Division, Roorkee, District Haridwar to take decision on petitioner’s application dated 29.09.2025 and pass order for granting electricity connection to the petitioner within ten days, subject to her depositing three 2025:UHC:9882 times, the amount of security. The grant of electricity connection in favour of petitioner will not create any equity in her favour and the electricity connection would abide by outcome of Original Suit No. 01 of 2025 pending before learned Civil Judge (S.D.), Roorkee, District Haridwar.
