3 THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE B.V.L.N. CHAKRAVARTHI WRIT PETITION NO: 8796 of 2019 The Court made the following Order: Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Government Pleader representing the State. 2.
Learned Additional Government Pleader on written instructions would submit that the Police registered a case in Crime No.186 of 2019 on the file of Mogaltur Police Station, for the offences punishable under Sections 376, 354(B), 354(C), 509, 501 & 420 IPC and Section 66(e) & 67 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and Section 3(2)(v)(a) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015. During investigation, Accused Nos.1, 2 & 3 were arrested and A4 was absconded. Therefore, to know the whereabouts of the absconded A4, the Police made enquiry with the petitioner and thereafter, the police never summoned the petitioner to the police station nor detained him, as alleged in the present Writ Petition. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that no further orders are required in the present Writ Petition, at this length of time and therefore, the same may be closed. 4
4. In the light of the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case, this Writ Petition is closed, at the stage of admission itself. No order as to costs.
