Mr. Vinay Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioners. 2. Mr. Pradeep Hairiya, learned Standing Counsel for the State. 3. The petitioners are praying for the following reliefs: “A. To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari for quashing the impugned order dated 19.08.2017, passed by the respondent o. 1 though respondent no. 2 (Annexure No. 32 to the writ petition). B. To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari for quashing the impugned letter dated 19.04.2016 issued by the respondent no. 2 (Annexure No. 20 to the writ petition). C. To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents, particularly respondent no. 1 to consider and grant the appropriate pay scales to the petitioners from due date, as recommended by the Respondent no. 2 is its letter date 27.06.2016 (Annexure No. 21 to the writ petition). D. To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to grant all consequential benefits to the petitioners.” 4. As it appears from the reliefs, as sought, undoubtedly the petitioners have an alternative remedy to approach Uttarakhand Public Service Tribunal, therefore, taking into consideration that the petitioners have an alternative remedy for redressal of their grievances, the matter is relegated to the Uttarakhand Public Service Tribunal with entire records. The petitioners are free to make request for expeditious disposal before the Tribunal. 5. In view of the observations, as made above, instant writ petition is dismissed 2025:UHC:9898 with the liberty to the petitioners to approach the Uttarakhand Public Service Tribunal.
