The instant petition has been filed praying for a writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to pay compensation to the petitioners for arazi no. 285 measuring 0.240 hectare Village-Tajopur (Mohammad), Tehsil-Maunath Bhanjan, District- Mau. 2. The Competent Authority has submitted written instructions. It is stated therein that the petitioners are claiming compensation on basis of a sale deed obtained by them from the original tenure holder. The respondents vide letter dated 2.1.2024 have required the petitioners to submit copy of the sale deed in evidence so that decision in respect of their claim can be taken. 3. Learned Standing Counsel submits that the sale deed has not been made available by the petitioners so far. 4. We find that in the writ petition also there is neither any pleading to the above effect nor copy of the sale deed has been annexed. 5. Having regard to the same, we dispose of the instant petition with liberty to the petitioners to produce copy of the sale deed before the respondents so that their claim for compensation is considered in accordance with law. 6.
