Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC-LKO:46028 Court No. - 8 Case :- WRIT - A No. - 8871 of 2025 Petitioner :- Amer Pratap Singh Respondent :- State Of U.P. Thru. Addl. Chief Secy. (Finance) Lko. And 3 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Mahendra Kumar Srivastava,Deenbandhu Arya Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Manish Mathur,J. 1. Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned State Counsel appearing on behalf of the opposite parties. 2. Amendment application filed today is taken on record. 3. Since it pertains only to correction of spelling in the name of petitioner, the same is allowed. Consequential amendment in the memorandum of petitioner shall be incorporated during the course of day. 4. Petition has been filed seeking a direction to concerned authority to consider the name of petitioner as in the physically disabled category in seniority list of Accountant cader and for further consideration of his promotion to the post of Assistant Accounts Officer under the physically disabled quota. 5. Learned counsel for petitioner has placed reliance on Government Order dated 04.08.2022 to submit that government has provided a quota for physically handicapped persons for purposes of promotion to government servants but since petitioner is not being indicated by opposite parties under the physically disabled quota, it is his apprehension that he would not be considered in terms thereof for promotion. 6. For the said grievance, petitioner has already represented a representation dated 10.07.2025. At present, learned counsel for petitioner restricts a prayer for final decision with regard to same. 7. Considering the innocuous prayer, without adverting to merits of the case, liberty is granted to petitioner to file fresh representation before opposite party no.-3 i.e. Director Internal Accounts and Audit, Lucknow. In case such a representation is filed, the same is required to be decided by authority concerned in light of Government Order dated 04.08.2022 expeditiously by a reasoned and speaking order within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of representation of petitioner along with a certified copy of this order. 8. With aforesaid direction, the petition stands finally disposed of. Order Date :- 7.8.2025 Renu/- Digitally signed by :- RENU AGARWAL High Court of Judicature at Allahabad, Lucknow Bench
