The application made by petitioner for firearm licence has been rejected by Licensing Authority/ District Magistrate, Dehradun. Feeling aggrieved by rejection order, petitioner has approached this Court. 4. Learned State Counsel points out that petitioner has Statutory remedy of appeal under Section 18 of Arms Act, 1959. 5. This submission is not disputed by learned counsel for the petitioner, he, however, relies upon some judgments rendered by learned Single Judge of this Court. 6. Since petitioner has remedy of appeal, therefore, judgment relied by learned counsel for the petitioner can be cited before the Appellate Authority. 7. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioner to file appeal before the Competent Authority.
