Petitioner was appointed as Junior Engineer (Mechanical) on contract in Public Works Department in the year 2013. According to him, a seniority list of contractual Junior Engineers were issued on 30.10.2025, however, petitioner’s name is altogether missing from the said list. 4. Learned State Counsel, on instructions, submits that the seniority list of persons serving as Junior Engineer (Civil) alone has been prepared so far, pursuant to direction issued by Division Bench of this Court in SPA No. 24 of 2025. He assures that name of petitioner shall be included in the seniority list, as and when list of Junior Engineer (Mechanical) is prepared. 5. Having regard to the facts of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make representation to the competent authority for inclusion of his name in seniority list of Junior Engineer (Mechanical). If petitioner makes representation within two weeks from today, the competent authority shall take decision, as per law, within four weeks thereafter. The process of regularisation of Junior Engineer (Mechanical), if any, shall be undertaken only after preparing the seniority list.
