Page No.# 3/4 It was further alleged that despite searches made the son of the petitioner could not be traced. The petitioner projects that on 03.02.2025, an FIR was lodged to the effect that his son aged about 26 (twenty six) years old was missing from home before sunrise on 14.01.2025. 3. It was also alleged that all efforts for his search did not yield result. When the son of the petitioner could not be traced thereafter, he filed the present writ petition on 03.07.2025, praying for appropriate orders to the authorities to take necessary steps to trace out his missing son and to produce him before the Hon’ble Court. 4. On 21.07.2025, this Court had observed that a search made in the internet revealed that the phone number of the petitioner could be traced to a certain location, mentioned in the order itself and thereafter, a request was made to the learned Additional Senior Govt. Advocate to obtain instructions from the Officer-in-Charge of the Thelamara Police Station on the issue. 5. Today, when the matter is taken up, the learned Additional Senior Govt. Advocate has produced a report dated 01.08.2025, which in brief describes the process undertaken by the Thelamara Police Station pursuant to receipt of the FIR. It has been stated that on contact being made by the police station with the son of the petitioner, he initially did not answer the calls but later he called back from an unknown number. The report states that the son of the petitioner has been residing in Delhi and that he had voluntarily left his parental home. 6. We have enquired from Mr. Biswas, learned counsel for the petitioner as to whether the petitioner has been able to contact his son thereafter and he answers in the affirmative and submits that father and son have been re-united and they are on their way home.
