Petitioner is serving as Assistant Teacher in Government Junior High School, Amel, Block Betalghat, District Nainital. According to him, he has served in durgam places for more than 22 years and he has not been posted at sugam place even for a single day, therefore he has now become entitled for transfer to a sugam place. 4. By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following reliefs: “A. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to direct the respondents to conduct counselling for the petitioner for considering his transfer to Sugam place. B. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for his transfer to Sugam place or to decide the representation submitted by the petitioner.” 5. Learned State Counsel submits that since petitioner has sought a writ of mandamus and he has also made a representation, therefore, the competent authority be directed to take decision thereupon. 2025:UHC:10154 6.
