The present petition has been filed with the following prayer: "(i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus, commanding to the opposite party no. 2 to grant the arm license to the petitioner within time bound period. (ii) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus, commanding to the opposite party no. 2 to decide the application of the petitioner for grant of arms license which is pending since January 2025, contained as Annexure No.1 to the writ petition." 3. Considering the relief as sought, the present petition is disposed of directing the court concerned to consider and decide the aforesaid application in accordance with law with all expedition preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
