Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel for the State Respondents and Sri Varun Pandey, learned counsel who appears for the respondents no.1 & 2. 2. This writ petition has been filed with the following main prayer:- "(i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus by which directing the opposite party No. 2 to take decision upon petitioner's file No. LK3075088048325 dated 27/05/2025 for renewal of passport under section 5 of Passport Act 1967 which is pending since 27/05/2025, contained as Annexure No. 1 to this writ petition." 3. It has been submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner moved an application on 27.05.2025 for renewal of his passport. After few days, the online status of his application has shown in the website stated that the Police Verification Report is not clear. 4. The petitioner met the Police Officer concerned and he was told that one Criminal Case against the petitioner, bearing F.I.R. No. 0011 of 2024 under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 of the I.P.C. Police Station Sadat Ganj, District Lucknow was pending. However, he was also told that a copy of the Final Report has been submitted by the Investigating Officer in this regard. 5. It is not disputed by the petitioner that till date no order has been passed by the Magistrate concerned on the Final Report submitted by the Investigating Officer to it. 6. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to approach the Court of Magistrate concerned for expediting orders on the Final Report filed by the Investigating Officer before it.
