Chullai, AAG with Ms. Z.E. Nongkynrih, GA. for R 2-5. i) Whether approved for reporting in Yes/No Law journals etc.: ii) Whether approved for publication in press: Yes/No JUDGMENT AND ORDER (ORAL) 1. Heard Mr. H.L. Shangreiso, learned Sr. counsel assisted by Ms. M. Hajong, learned counsel for the applicant. 2. Also heard Mr. Philemon Nongbri, learned counsel for the respondent No. 1 and Mr. N.D. Chullai, learned AAG assisted by Ms. Z.E. Nongkynrih, learned GA for the proforma respondent Nos. 2-5. 3. The learned Sr. counsel for the applicant has submitted that this Court, vide common judgment and order dated 25.07.2025 passed in WP(C) No. 455 and 456 of 2020, had inter alia, directed that payment of subsistence allowance in accordance with rules to be paid to the petitioners therein, the same to be paid within 2(two) months from the date of the order i.e. 25.07.2025. However, it is also the submission of the learned Sr. counsel 2025:MLHC:952 that, it is in the knowledge of the applicant/Managing Committee that the matter is under process, particularly with the concerned department in the State Government. It is therefore prayed that the period stipulated at para 53 of the impugned order may be extended for a further period of 2(two) months. 4. None has opposed the prayer made by the learned Sr. counsel for the applicant. Accordingly, on consideration of the same, this Court, would allow this application, and the operative portion of the said common judgment and order dated 25.07.2025 at para 53, instead of the words “2(two) months”, the same would now be read as “4(four) months”. This would in all respects means that the prayer for extension of the said period of 2(two) months has now been extended for a further period of 2(two) months from today. 5. In view of the above, this Misc. Case is disposed of. Judge 2025:MLHC:952 Digitally signed by DARIKORDOR NARY Date: 2025.10.06 19:23:56 IST
