He also filed an affidavit stating as follows:
“I am a resident of Poradappu Village, Devakottai Taluk, Sivagangai District. The borewell dug by the government in the nearby Survey No.27 of Marani Saruguni Village is out only source of 2/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
W.P(MD)No.21448 of 2019 drinking water. Respondents 7 and 8 attempted to demolish the motor room and close this public borewell while constructing an additional opening and gate for their premises. I have filed a public interest litigation seeking a Writ of Mandamus to prevent respondents 7 and 8 from demolishing the motor room and closing the public borewell. By an
order dated October 10, 2019, this Hon'ble Court granted an injunction restraining respondents 7 and 8 from taking such actions. Now, the respondents 7 and 8 have completed the construction of the additional opening and gate for their premises without demolishing the motor room or closing the public borewell. Hence, the writ petition may be closed by recording the above development.”
2. Recording the above affidavit, this Writ Petition stands closed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
