The present writ application has been preferred praying for direction upon the Certificate Officer, Howrah to dispose of the certificate proceeding in the present case which was initiated on 09.07.2024. In the present case it appears that the Controlling Authority passed an order granting gratuity on 04.12.2023. As the private respondent did not comply with the order, the Controlling Authority issued a notice to the Certificate Officer and District Magistrate, Howrah to initiate the proceeding for recovery of gratuity. Learned counsel for the State submits that a review application is pending before the Controlling Authority fixed on 24th April, 2025. Considering the said fact, the writ application is disposed of with the direction that the 2 Controlling Authority shall positively dispose of the review application in accordance with law on hearing the parties on 24th April, 2025. On disposal of the same the Certificate Officer shall proceed in accordance with law and dispose of the proceeding within 30 days thereafter. WPA 6192 of 2025 is accordingly disposed of. There will be no order as to costs. All connected applications, if any, stand disposed of. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
