Petition has been filed seeking a direction to concerned authority to release ex-gratia compensation of Rs.5,00,000/- to petitioner from Homeguards Welfare Fund as per proposal dated 21.12.2019. 3. Learned State Counsel on the basis of instructions submits that said proposal is under consideration an final orders shall be passed shortly. 4. In view of the fact that proposal is of 2019, respondent no. 2 i.e., Staff Officer, U.P. Homegaurds, Headquarter, Lucknow or any other competent authority is directed to take a final decision with regard to grievance of petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is served upon him. 5. The authority concerned shall also pass a separate order with regard to grant of interest to petitioner, in case he is found entitled for the aforesaid benefits. The actual payment thereof shall be ensured within six months thereafter. 6. With such direction, petition stands disposed of.
