Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned standing counsel for the State. 2. The instant writ petition has been filed with the following relief :- (i). Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus thereby commanding the opposite party no.2 to 4 to get remove the illegal encroachment/possession of the opposite party no.5 to 7 from the land gata no.867/0.042 hec. old number 1182 which was recorded as Pond Land in the revenue record, situated at Kasba and Tehsil, Ram Nagar, District Barabanki with immediate effect. 3. Pond land is alleged to have been encroached upon by some private parties, who have been impleaded as respondent nos.5 to 7. 4. Respondent no.6 is stated to have died during the pendency of this writ petition. 5. Be that as it may, for removal of any such unauthorised encroachment, the petitioner has a remedy under Section 67 of the Uttar Pradesh Revenue Code, 2006. 6. In case any such proceedings are initiated, the same are expected to be decided expeditiously, in accordance with law. 7. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
