It is submitted that while issuing the impugned order, reference has been made to the order of the second respondent, Revenue Divisional Officer, in his proceedings, dated 20.03.2025 bearing g.K.vz;.675/2025/a3 based on the report of the Village Administrative Office alluding to paper publication effect declaring the place of death of the petitioner's husband Muthumurugan in Nagamalai Pudukkottai Street, Madurai. The record that have been produced before this Court indicate that the petitioner’s husband died in Nagamalai Pudukkottai, outside the jurisdiction of the Madurai Corporation. Therefore, the impugned communication of the third respondent declining to issue death certification of the petitioner’s deceased husband cannot be interfered with as there is no dispute that the petitioner’s husband has died on 18.04.2004 in Nagamalai Pudukkottai, Madurai District. However, it is open to the petitioner to obtain death certificate from the competent certificate. 5. Recording the same, the petitioner is permitted to file suitable application before the Thasildar, Nagamalai Pudukkottai or Sub Registrar, Nagamalai Pudukkottai for issuance of the death certificate. In case such application is filed by the petitioner, such application for issuance of death certificate of the petitioner’s deceased husband who died on 10.08.2024 shall be processed and issued. 7. The writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
