According to them, they were in love and they got married as per Hindu rites and customs on 18.12.2025 and due to their marriage against the wish of relatives of petitioner no. 1, they are facing threat to their life and liberty. As per the documents enclosed with the writ petition, both the petitioners are major. (3) Petitioners, duly identified by their Counsel, appeared before us. Petitioners stated that they are serving as Panchkarm Therapist; petitioner no. 1 is serving as such at Rohtak in State of Haryana, while petitioner no. 2 is serving as Panchkarm Therapist at Dwarka, New Delhi. Petitioners apprised that since there is difference in caste as petitioner no. 1 belongs to Brahmin community and petitioner no. 2 belongs to Saini community and this is the reason of annoyance of the family members of petitioner no. 1. (4) Learned State Counsel submits that he has no objection against the prayer for protection made by petitioners as both the petitioners are major, as per the documents enclosed with the writ petition. However, protection can be provided to them only when they visit the native place of petitioner no. 2 at Haridwar and they shall give prior information of their impending visit to concerned SHO. (5) Having regard to the aforesaid facts and reasons, writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the SHO, PS Laksar, District Haridwar to provide adequate protection to petitioners, whenever they visit Haridwar, for a period of ten weeks to ensure that no harm is caused to them from the private respondents or any other person acting on their behest. Upon expiry of ten weeks, SHO concerned shall look into the threat perception to petitioners and take appropriate action, as deemed necessary. Petitioners shall given prior information of their impending visit to Haridwar to SHO concerned. (6) Let certified copy of this order be supplied to learned Counsel, today itself, on payment of usual charges. (Subhash Upadhyay, J.)
