2.
By filing this writ petition, petitioner has prayed for a direction to issue appointment letter to the petitioner for the post of Teacher, R.C. Primary School, Turundu, which is a minority aided institution.
3.
It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner is a qualified teacher and had applied for the post of Teacher, R.C. Primary School, Turundu, but the petitioner was not appointed. Petitioner made several representations before the Deputy Commissioner, Gumla and the District Superintendent of Education, Gumla, but despite those representations, appointment letter has not been issued.
4.
State-respondents have appeared and filed counter affidavit in this case, wherein they have stated that there were 82 candidates, who participated in the selection process and the petitioner had only managed to obtain 4 (four) marks in the entire process. The respondent have brought on record the tabulation chart wherein the name of the petitioner appears at Sl. No.70. Against the name of the petitioner, the marks which the petitioner was allotted have been mentioned. From the said tabulation chart, I find that the petitioner secured one mark each in the subjects Hindi, Maths, Social Science and Science and in English he got ‘0’ (zero). From the entire tabulation chart, I

find that there are other teachers, who have obtained much more marks than the petitioner. Admittedly, there are only 3 (three) posts. Considering the marks secured by the petitioner, petitioner was not selected and he was unsuccessful.
5.
In view of what has been observed and held above, I find no merit in this writ petition. The respondents have rightly rejected the candidature of the petitioner for selection to the post of teacher. This writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed. Pending interlocutory applications, if any, stand
disposed of.
