Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned State Counsel for opposite parties. 2. Petition has been filed seeking following prayer:- "I- Issue a writ, order, or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the opposite parties to grant benefit of the promotional post i.e. Accountant with all consequential benefits like arrears of salary, increments, and other allowances from November 2010 (the due date of promotion). 11-Issue a writ, order, or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the opposite parties to take decision on application of petitioner dated 24.06.2025, annexed as Annexure No. 12 to the writ petition." 3. For the aforesaid grievance, the petitioner has already submitted a representation dated 24.06.2025. At present, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer for a final decision with regard to same. 4. Considering innocous prayer being made by learned counsel for petitioner and without entering into the merits of the case, the opposite party no.2 i.e. Director, Treasury U.P., Jawahar Bhawan, Lucknow, is directed to decide petitioner's representation within a period of eight weeks. The petitioner shall annex the copy of the representation dated 24.06.2025 alongwith the certified copy of this order before the said authority. 5.
