Srinivasa Rao, weighing about 30 grams. The 4th respondent is investigating Crime No. 18 of 2025, registered for alleged offences under Sections 318(4), 316(5) r/w 3(5) BNS. 2. During the course of the investigation, the police have recorded the statements of eight witnesses, and after considering the audit report and the confession of accused No. 2, the unclaimed gold, belonging to one M. Srinivasa Rao and weighing about 30 grams, is sought to be handed over to the investigating officer as crime property. Aggrieved by the same, the present writ petition is filed. 3. The learned Assistant Government Pleader submits that the police are investigating the crime registered on 05.02.2025, and eight witnesses have been examined. It is also submitted that the police have sought the handing over of the gold to the investigating officer, and the same would be shown as crime property. The gold, weighing 30 grams, is stated to be lying with the petitioner as unclaimed gold. It is further submitted that the unclaimed gold is with the petitioner’s company, and the accused in Crime No. 18 of 2025 has nexus with the said gold, which the police need to investigate. Considering the same, the police have issued a notice dated 08.04.2025. 3 4. Considering the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader, this Court is not inclined to interfere during the pendency of the investigation. It is made clear to the petitioner to cooperate with the police for completion of the investigation in Crime No. 18 of 2025. 5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed.
