The present applicant-Sarvjeet Singh @ Sonu is seeking bail in relation to FIR dated 13.07.2024 bearing FIR No. 147 of 2024, registered at P.S. Nanakmatta, District Udham Singh Nagar wherein the present applicant has been implicated for the offence punishable under section 80(2) of BNS 2023. 4. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that applicant married with the deceased on 19.04.2019 and there is one issue from this marriage, however, due to some unfortunate situation deceased consumed poison due to which she died. Apart from this, learned counsel for the applicant submits that there is no demand of dowry, and, furthermore the charge sheet has been filed, therefore, there is no need of custodial interrogation. He further submits that the applicant has no previous criminal history. 5. On the other side, learned A.G.A. for the State argued that there is sufficient evidence of demand of dowry and after collecting credible evidence charge sheet has been filed and the trial has been commenced. 6. After hearing arguments of the learned counsel for the parties, and further taking into consideration that charge sheet has been filed and there is no need of custodial interrogation, this 2025:UHC:1528 Court is of the view that the applicant deserves for bail. 7. Accordingly, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the bail application is allowed. 8. Let the applicant- Sarvjeet Singh @ Sonu be released on bail on his executing a personal bond and furnishing two reliable sureties of the like amount to the satisfaction of the court concerned. 9.
