(2) According to petitioner, he was engaged as seasonal worker on daily wages in the Forest Department in the year 2009 and he is thereafter working as such from time to time. Grievance raised by the petitioner is that he is being paid a paltry amount as wages, while he is entitled for minimum of the pay scale, as per the 7th Pay Commission. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that certain other similarly situate persons are being paid minimum of pay scale, therefore petitioner is also entitled to similar benefit. (3) Learned State Counsel submits that since petitioner has prayed for issuance of writ of mandamus and he has also made a representation, therefore, the competent authority shall take decision on petitioner’s representation within stipulated time. (4) Writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with a direction to Divisional Forest Officer, Tehri Dam Second, Forest Division, Kotbanglaw, Uttarkashi to take decision on petitioner’s representation dated 12.11.2025 within four months from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
