Admittedly, as informed by the petitioner’s Counsel, ‘patta’ was granted to the petitioners in respect of the land in question, as claimed, which was subsequently cancelled. Now, fishery rights are sought to be settled in respect of the pond existing thereon. It being so, we fail to understand as to how this petition can be entertained when there is no challenge to the cancellation of ‘patta’ under the statute i.e. U.P. Revenue Code, 2006, nor before us, assuming that it would have been permissible to do so. The petition is ill advised. We dispose of this petition with liberty to pursue other remedies, if any, and if there is a cause.
