Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned A.G.A. for the State. 2. This petition has been filed with the following main prayer:- "Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Certiorari thereby quashing the first information report dated 07.06.2025 against the Petitioners in Case Crime No.0136/2025, under section 85, 115(2), 352, 351(3), 316(2) B.N.S. and section 3/4 D.P. Act and section 3/4 of Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act, 2019, P.S. Ibrahimpur, District- Ambedkar Nagar (so far as it relates to the petitioners), as contained in Annexure No.1, to this writ petition." 3. Learned A.G.A., at the very outset, has placed before this Court instructions dated 21.07.2025 sent by Sub Inspector, Police Station Ibrahimpur, District Ambedkar Nagar, wherein it has been stated that charge-sheet has been prepared against Shahjal Laique, Mohd. Laique and Abdul Hafeez, under various sections of the I.P.C. and Dowry Prohibition Act. Charge Sheet No.134 of 2025 dated 09.07.2025 has been submitted to the Supervisory Authority i.e. Circle Officer Tanda, Ambedkar Nagar. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioners, at this stage, says that a settlement has been arrived at between the parties, a copy of which has been filed as annexure-2 to the writ petition. 5. This petition is disposed of with a direction to the parties to approach the Circle Officer Tanda, Ambedkar Nagar, on 31.07.2025 at 02:00 pm along with the original settlement agreement. The Supervisory Authority shall verify the settlement and then pass an appropriate orders either accepting the charge sheet proposed by the Investigating Officer and forward it to the Trial Court/ Magistrate concerned, or he may not accept the charge sheet and issue appropriate direction to the Investigating Officer. 6. The office is directed to return the original compromise to the petitioners after retaining a photocopy of the same on record.
