With the consent of learned counsel for the contesting parties, the instant writ petition is being finally decided. Instant writ petition has been filed praying for a mandamus commanding the respondents to pass a final order concluding the inquiry instituted against the petitioner vide order dated 30.06.2020. Contention of learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner has retired on attaining the age of superannuation on 31.03.2022 yet the aforesaid inquiry is still pending for consideration before the competent authority although the inquiry report has been submitted. Considering that the petitioner has retired on attaining the age of superannuation and the inquiry report has already been submitted as such, the instant writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the competent authority to pass a final order in the inquiry as instituted against the petitioner in accordance with law and the relevant rules which order would be passed within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
