In this petition, the petitioner has essentially prayed for a writ of mandamus to the respondent No. 2 to consider her for appointment as Lecturer/Administrator in the discipline of Medical Lab Technology against the post of respondent No. 4, which as per the petitioner was lying vacant at the time of filing of the petition. 2. This appointment has been sought by the petitioners on academic arrangement basis for the Session 2009. 3. Notice in this petition was issued in the year 2009 and no interim direction favouring the petitioner was passed. The Session for which the petitioner was seeking appointment for the year 2009, which is over long back. 4. In that view of the matter, this petition is rendered infructuous and the same is, accordingly, dismissed as such. Notwithstanding the dismissal by this Court, if the petitioner has been engaged on academic arrangement and is continuing as on the date, she shall not be replaced by the similar arrangement.
