The petitioner has field the present writ application praying for a direction upon the respondent No.2, i.e., the Manager, HDFC Bank Limited, Haridevpur Branch for defreezing the saving account No. 50100230181346. 2. It is the contention of the petitioner that since 4th July, 2024 the bank has blocked the account of the petitioner due to which the petitioner is not in a position to operate the bank account. The petitioner has issued the notice upon the bank but the bank is not appearing in spite of service of notice. 3. Accordingly, the petitioner is directed to serve the notice upon the respondent No.2/the Manager, HDFC Bank Limited, Haridevpur Branch through the Officer- in-Charge of Haridevpur Police Station within a week 2 from date and the Officer-in-Charge of Haridevpur Police Station is directed to file report on the next date fixed. 4. On receipt of notice, the respondent No.2/the Manager, HDFC Bank, Haridevpur Branch shall submit the report indicating reasons of freezing the account of the petitioner on the next date fixed. 5. Let the matter appear on 8th January, 2026 under the same heading. 6. It is made clear that on the date fixed if the respondent No.2 fails to appear before this Court, appropriate order will be passed. (Krishna Rao, J.)
