By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought the following relief: “a suitable writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to make measurement and demarcation of the land of petitioner recorded as Khasra No. 757 area 2.7240 hectare situated in Village Harjoli Jatt Pargana Manglore Tehsil Roorkee District Haridwar according to revenue record and map providing complete 2.7240 hectare land to the petitioner at spot according to the land revenue record and map. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner refers to an application made by petitioner to District Magistrate, Haridwar on 24.07.2025. 4. Learned State Counsel submits that if petitioner wants demarcation of his holding, then he should have moved application before Assistant Collector, 1st Class under Section 41 of Land Revenue Act, 1901. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that writ petition may be disposed of with liberty to petitioner to approach appropriate authority. 6. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make application 2025:UHC:9465 for demarcation before the Assistant Collector concerned. If he makes such application within two weeks from today, learned Assistant Collector will look into the matter and pass appropriate order, as per law within nine months thereafter. 7. It goes without saying that all the stakeholders who are likely to be affected by the order to be passed by Assistant Collector, shall also be given opportunity of hearing.
