...Respondent(s) Through: Ms. Maha Majeed, Assisting counsel
CORAM:
HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE VINOD CHATTERJI KOUL-JUDGE
ORDER 05.12.2025
Petitioners seek the following relief:
“By issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, any other appropriate
Order or Direction, the Respondents be directed to calculate any pay to the petitioners, the differential leave salary due on account of increase in the basic pay in view of the 6th Pay Revision along with interest.
The said relief has been claimed by the petitioners precisely on the ground that after the Revision of pay, the petitioners were entitled to the arrears of gratuity as well as leave salary. His submission is that on account of the pay Revision, respondents have released the benefit of arrears of gratuity on account of the revision and have paid him the amount which was due to him because of the said revision. However, he has not been paid the differential amount due to him on account of the pay revision, so far as the leave salary was concerned. He only grievance is that respondents are required to calculate the leave salary on the basis of such pay revision and paid the balance of leave salary (i.e. leave salary due on account of revision minus the amount of leave salary already paid). His only submission is that respondents be asked to calculate the differential of the leave salary on account of revision of the pay and release the same in their favour. Ms. Maha Majeed, assisting counsel submits that the petitioners claim with regard to the amount due to them on account of leave salary on account
