This petition under Section 528 of the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 has been filed for extension of time to deposit the fine amount of Rs. 2000/- as per order dated 15.10.2024 passed by this Court in CR.R. No. 479/2014. 3. This Court, vide order dated 15.10.2024, while partly allowing the KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN 2 revision petition and sentencing the petitioner to the period already undergone, had enhanced the fine amount of Rs. 500/- to Rs. 2000/- for the offence under Section 324 of IPC and had granted one month’s time from the date of passing of the order for depositing the enhanced fine amount. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a law abiding citizen who due to lack of knowledge of order dated 15.10.2024 could not comply the same, but immediately after receiving knowledge of same petitioner is ready and willing to deposit the fine amount within the time period as prescribed by this Court. Hence, he prays for last opportunity that the time period for depositing the fine amount may be extended. 5. Learned counsel for the other side has no objection. 6. The prayer made by the petitioner appears to be reasonable. Hence, the petitioner is granted further two week’s and no more time from today to deposit the enhanced fine amount as was ordered by this Court on 15.10.2024 in Cr.R. No. 479 of 2014. 7. Accordingly, this Cr.M.P. stands disposed of. 8. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance.
