Serial No. 30 Suppl. cause list IN THE HIGH COURT OF JAMMU & KASHMIR AND LADAKH AT SRINAGAR WP(C) 2519/2024 MOHAMMAD ASLAM SHAH AND ANOTHER …Appellant/Petitioner(s) Through: None. Vs. UT OF J AND K AND ORS …Respondent (s) Through: Mr. Mohsin Qadri, Sr. AAG with Ms. Maha Majeed, Assisting Counsel CORAM: HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE SANJEEV KUMAR, JUDGE ORDER 19.12.2025 1. On the last two consecutive dates of hearing, there has been no representation on behalf of the petitioners. Today also when the case was called, nobody turned up to appear for the petitioners. 2. In the instant case, the petitioners claim to have contracted marriage out of their free will and volition and are seeking protection from the official respondents against the harassment and interference in their married life by the private respondents 4 and 5. 3. The matter was taken up for consideration for the first time on 31st October, 2024, when this court directed the petitioners to place on record the documents proving that the petitioner No. 1 was a major. 4. This Court also directed the respondents not to harass the petitioners without adopting the due procedure of law. 5. This case has come up for consideration on a number of occasions, but the order dated 31st October, 2024, has remained uncomplied with. 6. As a matter of fact, for the last two hearings, nobody has appeared for the petitioners. It is, thus, evident that petitioners have lost interest to pursue this petition and have no documentary proof to show that the petitioner No. 1 is a major. 7. This petition is accordingly dismissed for non-prosecution. (SANJEEV KUMAR) JUDGE SRINAGAR: 19.12.2025 “Shahid Manzoor”
