When the parties have entered into a compromise before the Lok Adalat, the said award ought to be registered, if presented for registration. Moreover, the compromise pertains to settlement of the mortgage executed by the parties. When the mortgage is satisfied, then consequent entry has also to be deleted. 3. Therefore, the first respondent is directed to enter the Lok Adalat award dated 09.03.2019 in the Register and also directed to make the remark that earlier mortgage is redeemed.
