Heard learned counsel for petitioners and learned State Counsel for opposite parties. Petition has been filed seeking following prayers:- "(i) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of MANDAMUS commanding the Opposite Parties to provide the benefit of training period to the Petitioners after counting the same for the purposes of granting additional increment as well as promotional pay scale as the Petitioners are entitled for the same. (ii) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of MANDAMUS commanding the Opposite Parties to make payment of arrears of salary to the Petitioners after re-fixation of the pay scale by counting the training period of the Petitioners, expeditiously as early as possible." With regard to such grievance, petitioners have already submitted representations to the authorities concerned but seeks liberty to file fresh representations individually. At present learned counsel for petitioners restrict their prayer for a final decision with regard to same. Considering innocuous prayer made by learned counsel for petitioners and without entering into merits of the case, liberty is granted to petitioners to make fresh representation individually before opposite party No. 4 i.e. Additional Director General of Police (Establishment), Lucknow. In case such a representation is filed, the same shall be decided expeditiously by a reasoned and speaking order within a period of six weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before the said authority.
