(2) Petitioner was engaged on contract in MSME Technology Centre, Sitarganj, District Udham Singh Nagar, vide order dated 1.8.2019. He is aggrieved by the order dated 3.9.2024, passed by Principal Director (I/c), Mentor TC, whereby petitioner is informed that consequent upon completion of five years contract, he is now being relieved from the services of MSME Technology Centre, Sitarganj. Thus feeling aggrieved, petitioner has approached this Court. (3) Engagement order dated 1.8.2019 indicates that petitioner’s engagement on contract was only for five years from the date of his joining. Thus the impugned order does not terminate petitioner’s engagement but simply informs him that term of his engagement has come to an end. (4) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that other similarly situate persons, who were also given tenure engagement as the petitioner, are being permitted to continue even after expiry of term of their engagement. He further submits that there was no complaint or adverse material against the petitioner, which may justify non-renewal of his engagement. (5) Having regard to the facts and 2025:UHC:9717 circumstances of the case, particularly the fact that there is no adverse material against the petitioner, writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the competent authority for his re-engagement. If he makes application for re-engagement, the competent authority shall consider the same and pass appropriate order, as per law, within four weeks from the date of receipt of such application.
