Contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that initially the punishment order dated 27.12.2022, a copy of which is Annexure- 1 to the petition, was issued against the petitioner. 3. Being aggrieved, the petitioner had filed an appeal on 26.01.2023, a copy of which is Annexure-10 to the petition, yet the said appeal has still not been decided and in the meanwhile, the respondents have started recovering the amount in pursuance of the punishment order. 4. Considering that the appeal is pending for consideration before the competent authority, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to decide the appeal in accordance with law within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. 5. While informing the competent authority about this order, the petitioner shall again annex a copy of the appeal that had been sent to him earlier.
