Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned State Counsel for opposite parties. 2. Petition has been filed seeking a direction to concerned authority to decide petitioner's application dated 18th June, 2024 for compassionate appointment in terms of U.P. Recruitment of Dependants of Government Servants Dying in Harness Rules 1974. 3. It has been submitted that petitioner's father late Arvind Kumar Srivastava passed away while in service on 14th May, 2024 whereafter petitioner submitted the aforesaid application for compassionate appointment on 18th June, 2024. At present learned counsel for petitioner restricts his prayer for final decision with regard to same. 4. Considering innocuous prayer made by learned counsel for petitioner and without entering into merits of the case, the opposite party No.3 i.e. Settlement Officer of Consolidtion, District Amethi or any other competent authority is directed to consider and decide petitioner's application dated 18th June, 2024 in accordance with law after affording opportunity of hearing to all members of the family within a period of six weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before the said authority. The petitioner shall annex a copy of the application dated 18th June 2024 along with certified copy of this order. 5. The petition stands disposed of.
