HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE SANJEEV KUMAR, JUDGE
ORDER 26.12.2025
1. The petitioners aged 20 years and 26 years claim to have contracted married out of their own free will and volition.
2. This petition came up for consideration on 28th February, 2025, when this court while issuing notice to the respondents also directed the official respondents 1 to 4 to provide protection to the petitioners as and when they approach them in this regard. It seems that this order has been taken benefit of by the petitioners and they are staying together peacefully without any interference from the respondents 5 and 6. It is because of this reasons, perhaps, that the petitioners have chosen not to taken steps for service of the respondents. Today also when the case was called, nobody turned up to cause appearance for the petitioners.
3. Be that as it may, having regard to the nature of the controversy involved, this petition is disposed of by directing that in case the petitioners still apprehend any threat to their life and liberty, they shall be free to approach the concerned police station for seeking protection. Needless to say that the police authorities, if approached by the petitioners in this regard, shall take remedial measures as are permissible in law so as to ensure the protection of their life and liberty.
4.
