Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC-LKO:38516 Court No. - 18 Case :- WRIT - A No. - 7206 of 2025 Petitioner :- Vinod Kumar Singh Respondent :- State Of U.P. Thru. Prin. Secy. Home Guards Lko And 3 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Deepak Kumar Singh Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C. Hon'ble Manish Mathur,J. 1. Heard learned counsel for petitioner, Ms. Deepshikha, learned Chief Standing Counsel for the opposite parties. 2. Petition has been filed challenging order dated 10.10.2024 whereby petitioner's representation for reinstatement as Home- guard has been rejected. 3. From perusal material of material on record, it appears that petitioner was initially engaged as Home-guard in the year 1996 but subsequently left services in the year 2002 in order to support his livelihood. He is stated to have written to authority concerned in the year 2003 and sought reinstatement. It appears that in 2003 he became aware of the fact that he had been terminated from service. 4. It is also evident that the petitioner has sought relief from this Court after more than 20 years of termination of his services. There is not cogent explanation given by petitioner for having approached this Court at such a belated stage. 5. In view thereof, this Court does not have any occasion to grant indulgence in the matter. 6. Considering the aforesaid, petition fails and is dismissed at the admission stage. 7. Parties to bear their own costs. Order Date :- 8.7.2025 Virendra Digitally signed by :- VIRENDRA KUMAR GUPTA High Court of Judicature at Allahabad, Lucknow Bench
