JUSTICE AHANTHEM BIMOL SINGH 11.07.2025 Heard Ms. Rinika Maibam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs. L. Monomala, learned GA appearing for the respondents. [2] In view of the limited payer made on behalf of the petitioner and as agreed to by both the counsel appearing for the parties, the present writ petition is disposed of at the motion stage itself. [3] At the outset, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that on expiry of the father of the petitioner, the petitioner’s mother filed two applications dated 27-04-2018 and 02- 09-2022 to the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & HoFF, Government of Manipur, Imphal with a request for considering the case of the petitioner for her appointment to a suitable post under the Die-in-Harness scheme and that the said applications filed by the LAISHRA M DHAKESH ORI DEVI Digitally signed by LAISHRAM DHAKESHORI DEVI Date: 2025.07.15 14:24:17 +05'30' Page 2 mother of the petitioner is still pending for consideration by the authorities. The learned counsel further submitted that the petitioner will be satisfied for the time being if the present writ petition is disposed of by issuing a simple direction to the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & HoFF, Government of Manipur, Imphal to consider the representations on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable guidelines of scheme and to dispose of the same by issuing a speaking order within a stipulated period. [4] Mrs. L. Monomala, learned GA appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that as the prayer made on behalf of the petitioner is confined to the consideration and disposal of the representation submitted on behalf of the petitioner, she has no objection in disposing of the present writ petition as prayed for by the counsel appearing for the petitioner. [5] Considering the submission advanced by the learned counsel appearing for the parties and on perusal of the record, this Court is of the considered view that the interest of justice will be served by issuing the following directions :- (i) The Petitioner is directed to submit a copy of the aforesaid applications dated 27-04-2018 and 02-09- 2022 along with the copy of this order to the Principal Page 3 Chief Conservator of Forests & HoFF, Government of Manipur, Imphal within a period of one week from today. (ii) In the event of submitting the said applications by the applicant along with the copy of this order, the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests & HoFF, Government of Manipur, Imphal is hereby directed to consider the representations on its own merit and strictly in terms of the applicable guidelines or scheme for appointment under the Die-in-harness scheme and to dispose of the applications by issuing appropriate order. (iii) It is made clear that the whole process should be completed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order along with the copies of the aforesaid applications.
