Petitioners were appointed on contract as Office Assistant (N.S.) (re-designated as Junior Administrative Officer) in All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh in 2015. 4. In this writ petition, petitioners have challenged the advertisement dated 17.11.2023 issued by Director, AIIMS, whereby applications were invited for appointment against three posts of Junior Administrative Officer. 5. Mr. Neeraj Garg, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that even though the selection held pursuant to impugned advertisement was concluded and selected candidates were appointed on different Group-C posts, however, no one was appointed against the post held by the petitioners, therefore, their engagement was not disturbed. He submits that thereafter another advertisement was issued by AIIMS, which is challenged in WPSS No. 1251 of 2025, therefore, the writ petition has become infructuous, in view of the subsequent developments. 6. Mr. Lalit Sharma, learned counsel appearing for the AIIMS concedes that the relief claimed by the petitioners do not survive. 7. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
