District Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. ... Petitioners versus State Of Chhattisgarh Through District Magistrate, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. ---- Respondent For Petitioner : Mr. Shailesh Madhwani, Advocate. For Respondent/State : Ms. Ankita Shukla, Panel Lawyer. Hon'ble Shri Ramesh Sinha , Chief Justice Order on Board 11.04.2025 1. Proceedings of this matter have been taken through video conferencing. 2. This petition under Section 528 of the BNSS, has been filed by the petitioners for extension of time to deposit the fine amount of Rs. 5000/- (each) as per order dated 30.09.2024 passed by this Court in CR.R. No. 862/2015. 3. This Court, vide order dated 30.09.2024, while partly allowing the RAJSHEKHAR SONI Digitally signed by RAJSHEKHAR SONI 2 revision petition and sentencing the petitioners to the period already undergone, had directed the petitioners to deposit the fine amount of Rs. 5000/- to Rs. 5000/-(each) for offence under Section 3(A) of RPUP Act, in addition to what they had already deposited, and had granted one month’s time from the date of passing of the order for depositing the said fine amount. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioners submit that the direction issued by this Court regarding the payment of fine amount of Rs. 5000/- could not be complied within stipulated time of one month. As the applicants were not aware of the order dated 30.09.2024, due to which the petitioners got arrested on 12.03.2025. Thereafter, the applicants went to the learned trial Court for depositing the fine amount but as the time of one month for depositing the fine amount expired, therefore, the trial Court denied accepting the fine amount. Hence, he prays that the time period for depositing the fine amount may be extended. 5. Learned counsel for the other side has no objection. 6. The prayer made by the petitioners appears to be reasonable. Hence, the petitioners are granted further two weeks and no more time from today to deposit the said fine amount as was ordered by this Court on 30.09.2024 in Cr.R. No. 862/2015. 7. Accordingly, this Cr.M.P. stands disposed of. 8. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance forthwith.
