CORAM: HON’BLE MR JUSTICE RAJESH SEKHRI, JUDGE O R D E R 09.12.2025 The petitioners, residents of Wandakpora, now known as Noorabad have approached this Court for recognition of their village under backward area under the J&K Reservation Act, in line to the adjoining village of Goripora. Another relief claimed by the petitioners is to create separate record of rights of their village in terms of Government order No.12-Rev(S) of 2018 dated 15.01.2018. Mr. Hamza Prince, learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that petitioners have already filed number of representations before the respondents but same have not been accorded any consideration till date. Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that he will be satisfied in case respondents are directed to consider present petition as a representation and consider the same within a time frame. Statement of learned counsel for the petitioners is taken on record. In view of statement made by learned counsel for the petitioners, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to treat present petition as representation and accord consideration to the same within a period of eight weeks from the date a copy of this order along with copy of petition and annexures are made available.
