The grievance raised in this writ petition is that the Mutation Case being No. 337/2019-20 instituted before the Circle Officer, Dispur Revenue Circle under Kamrup (M) district has not been progressed despite several requests made by the petitioners. Mr. Haque, learned counsel submits that he has no contact with his client since the year 2020 and he is not aware as regards the status of disposal of such petition. It is also submitted by Mr. Haque that, otherwise in term of the Assam Right to Public Service Act, 2012, when there is delay in disposal of mutation case, which is also treated as a public service, there is a provision of appeal. Accordingly, the petitioners may be allowed to approach the appropriate authority, if any grievance still remains by withdrawing this writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed on withdrawal with a liberty as prayed for. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
