The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the sixth respondent was elected the President of Kamuthakudi Village Panchayat and the seventh respondent is the husband of the sixth respondent, who has illegally exercised the power of the President and committed various irregularities. The petitioner filed a complaint before the District Collector-cum-Inspector of Panchayat, Ramanathapuram District under the Panchayat Act on 24.04.2023. Since no action was initiated, the writ petition came to be instituted. 3. In view of the above, the second respondent is directed to look into the complaint, nature of the allegations raised by the petitioner and conduct an enquiry by verifying the panchayat records and other transactions. If any illegality, financial loss or irregularities are identified, all appropriate actions are initiated under law. 4. With these directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
