The petitioner had applied for issuance of a character certificate. Admittedly, there is a criminal case pending against the petitioner bearing Case Crime No.4421/2017, under Sections 143, 188, 506 I.P.C. at Police Station Kotwali Nagar, District Bahraich. This is the reason for submission of an adverse police report dated 24.06.2025, however, no order, rejecting or allowing the application, has been passed as yet by the competent authority. We have already dealt with these issues vide our judgment dated 28.05.2025, passed in a bunch of writ petitions, leading writ petition being Writ-C No.718 of 2025 (Anil Kumar Vs. State of U.P. and others). Let a decision be taken by the competent authority, whether it be opposite party No.1 or 2, as the case may be, keeping in mind the aforesaid decision dated 28.05.2025 within two weeks. It is stated by the learned Standing Counsel that the petitioner had given a false affidavit stating therein that no criminal case was registered against him in any police station throughout India, whereas a criminal case aforesaid was registered in the year 2017 and charge sheet has also been filed. If it is so, then the petitioner can be put to notice in this regard and his explanation would be considered while taking decision. Writ Petition stands disposed of. (Om Prakash Shukla,J.)
