The present application under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been filed by the applicants-Fareeda Begum, Abdul Gaffar and Shahzad with the following prayers: "It is, therefore, Most Respectfully Prayed that this Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to quash the entire Criminal Proceedings in Case No.4976 of 2017, arising out of the Case Crime No. 1479 of 2016, Under Sections 498-A, 323, 504, & 506 1.P.C., & 3/4 of D.P. Act, Police Station Kotwali Nagar, District Muzaffar Nagar, pending before CJM Muzaffar Nagar, (State Versus Shahzad and others). It is further prayed that this Hon'ble Court may kindly be please to stay the entire Criminal Proceedings in Case No.4976 of 2017, arising out of the Case Crime No.1479 of 2016, Under Sections 498-A, 323, 504, & 506 L.P.C., & 3/4 of D.P. Act, Police Station Kotwali Nagar, District Muzaffar Nagar, pending before CJM Muzaffar Nagar, (State Versus Shahzad and others). And/or to pass any other or further order as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case, so that justice may be done." 5. This matter was referred to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre of this Court vide order dated 3.11.2017 subject to deposit of Rs.20,000/-by the applicants. As per report of the Mediation Centre dated 5.4.2018, the applicants have not deposited the said money before the Centre till 4.4.2018. 6. In view of the same, this matter is reported by the office through the report dated 4.8.2025 of Registrar (J) (Listing) that it is likely to be infructuous. 7. Perused the records. 8. Since there is no one appearing on behalf of the applicant(s) to press this application U/s 482 Cr.P.C., the matter being likely to have become infructuous by efflux of time, the same is dismissed as such. 9. The present application is dismissed as infructuous. 10. Interim order, if any, stands vacated. 11.
