Dated : July 15, 2025 2025:BHC-AUG:18519 941 CA NO.8146.2023 -2- PER COURT :- 1. These are the applications seeking condonation of delay of 235 days caused in filling the first appeals. Mr. Hange, learned counsel for the applicants submits that their land was acquired and they are seeking enhancement of the compensation. He submits that the applicants are poor persons and were not aware about need to file appeal immediately. After the impugned award was passed, the applicants collected necessary papers, arranged the court fess and then submitted the appeal/s. It is stated that during this process, there is delay of 235 days which is unintentional and hence, it may be condoned in the interest of justice. 2. Mr. Tandale, learned AGP for respondent No. 1 opposes the application and submits that there is no sufficient cause to condone the delay. 3. Having regard to the contentions mentioned in the application and submissions advanced, the delay of 235 days does not appear to be inordinate and hence, it deserves to be condoned in the interest of justice. Therefore, the delay of 235 days caused in filing the first appeal/s is hereby condoned. 941 CA NO.8146.2023 -3- 4. Accordingly, civil applications are allowed and disposed of.
