The present writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed by the Petitioner with a prayer to direct the Respondent Nos.4 and 5 to register the First Information Report forthwith on the basis of the Petitioner’s written complaints regarding the death of Smt. Kajal Kaur, disclosing cognizable offences under the Indian Penal Code and other applicable laws. 4. At the very outset, learned State Counsel has raised a preliminary objection that the Petitioner has an alternative remedy of lodging the FIR under Section 175 (3) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, before the appropriate forum. 5. In this view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the Petitioner to avail the remedy under Section 175 (3) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, before the appropriate forum.
